ProofLock

Terms of use

Terms for installing and using the ProofLock GitHub App and website.

Effective: July 26, 2026

Using ProofLock

By installing or using ProofLock, you agree to these terms and the applicable GitHub terms. You must have authority to install the App for each selected account or repository and must not use the service for unlawful, abusive, or disruptive activity.

Service availability

ProofLock is currently provided free of charge. Features, limits, or availability may change, and the service may be suspended when necessary for security, maintenance, legal compliance, or prevention of abuse. Material changes will be reflected on this website.

Your responsibility

ProofLock is one control in a broader software assurance process. Repository administrators remain responsible for branch rules, reviewer access, merge decisions, backups, and compliance requirements. A passing Check is not a guarantee that software is defect-free or secure.

Disclaimer

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by applicable law, without a service-level commitment or warranties that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
